I sent Drake and Sierra to their grandma’s this weekend. Drake was just getting over a cold, and Sierra was healthy. When she brought them back on Sunday, Drake had a high temperature that lasted well into the night, and Sierra was sneezing and coughing.
All three of my kids (four if you count David lol), have been sick this last week and a half or so. Drake caught it first, and really should be over it by now, but that trip to grandma’s must have aggravated it.
I hate to see my kids sick. There’s really nothing you can do for a cold, except give medicine so that they can sleep at night. Although, Drake got regular old Tylenol for part of that time because of his temperature. I also found out that he HATES cool baths. One more failed attempt at making him feel better lol!
Today he’s still pretty low key, still wants to lay down and watch TV, but last night he was up and about, so I’m sure he’s okay. I think he’s tired because I woke him up when I turned on the A/C when I got up.
Gage and Sierra have runny noses and a bit of a cough, and David has a cough, runny nose, and a headache. I’m really hoping they keep the germs to themselves. I can’t afford to get sick. I’m a horrible sick person. I don’t want to get up, I just want to sleep all day and cry because I’m miserable. I usually catch it immediately after the kids, but I’ve been lucky so far.

I hope everyone gets better soon. I know when everyone gets sick at the same time, it become tiring. I rarely get sick, but when I do, I don’t like to be bothered and want to sleep like everyone else gets too. I never do though *sigh*.

I used to get sick ALL.THE.TIME. But now that I work from home, I VERY seldom get sick – which is great, because like you, I’m NO good for nothin’ when I’m sick, lol.

Here’s hoping the Mama stays well… We don’t get sick often – and for that I am thankful. I usually push myself till I really am even sicker… and why can’t I learn from that (smile).
